Abstract

Writers have to be able to communicate efficiently. The low-stakes product review assignment tackled how well students were able to review a product at fell upon a developed criteria. The criteria’s were the key in deciding if the product was deemed sufficient, and in the end, students had to decide if they would recommend this product. This assignment evaluated our level of being able to communicate the pros and cons of the chosen product.

Product: Study Desk

         The most frustrating thing about studying is finding the right place to do so. Personally, I prefer a quiet environment where I can focus on me and the task at hand. I also like having my own personal space to hold my books and school work. All of these are things I have acquired thanks to my study desk. The study desk I have is located inside my room. It is about 6 feet tall, with a length of 4 feet, and a width of 2 feet. In other words, it is very big and has 6 cubbies above the desk to hold books and other materials. Currently, it holds 54 books of different sizes, along with other daily products and small awards in the middle. In addition to the cubbies, below the desk are 3 drawers to store materials need for school such as pencils, a calculator, loose-leaf paper, a stapler, etc. On the desk, I have my computer where I do most of my work In and a mini lamp on the side to light things up on late night studies. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and do not regret buying it.

         The criteria I based my ratings on for this product were durability and utility. For durability, I had this study desk for 5 years and it stayed in perfect condition as if it were bought yesterday. The color is still visible, the drawers work fine, and the cubbies are stable. For utility, it accomplishes its purpose which is to provide an organized workspace for books, papers, and materials. It allows me to focus on my studies in a quiet and organized environment, which is just what I prefer to get the most out of my studies. Without my study desk, I feel as though I would not be able to perform to my fullest potential. These are the reasons why I gave this product such a good rating, it has performed well for the past 5 years and I like it.
